Where We Are Today

On May 1, 2008, the Final Environmental Impact Report (EIR) for short-term improvements at Lindbergh Field was unanimously certified and adopted by the Airport Authority Board.

In April 2008, the Airport Authority, along with the City of San Diego, SANDAG and other regional planning partners, embarked on Destination Lindbergh, a long-term planning process addressing, "What is the ultimate build-out for Lindbergh Field?" A final concept will be developed and presented to stakeholders by February 2009.
