Welcome
Thank you for visiting our new Web site dedicated to planning for San Diego’s future air transportation needs. The new Airport Authority Board, which took over in January 2007, is 100% committed to optimizing Lindbergh Field as part of its mission to develop a regional solution for San Diego’s air transportation needs. An extensive planning process is currently under way that will study choices and potential solutions to meet the regional demand for air transportation. Phase 1 will focus on maintaining the airport’s efficiency and excellent service levels through 2015 with additional gates, parking and airfield improvements. Phase 2 will look at a longer-term visionary plan to meet the regional demand for air transportation for the next generation.
This Web site is designed to provide important documents, information and feedback mechanisms to the public to ensure that opportunities to participate in the planning process are made available to as many people as possible. You can register to be kept informed as updates are sent out, or you can send questions directly to the planners who are working on this project.
Again, thank you for taking the time to learn more about San Diego’s aviation future. We look forward to working with you to create an air transportation system that meets your traveling needs and your expectations for years to come.
Sincerely,
Alan Bersin
Chairman
San Diego County Regional Airport Authority
