The Airport Authority has a three-phase Terminal Development Program addressing both the airport’s immediate requirements and the region’s long-term aviation needs.
The Terminal Development Program addresses the airport’s immediate needs, calling for 10 new jet gates at Terminal 2, a dual-level roadway that splits arriving and departing passengers to improve traffic circulation, increased parking and additional space for planes to park overnight. These improvements are essential to ensure that our airport can continue to serve San Diego County passengers adequately. Here is a slide show of renderings of the proposed build out of Terminal 2.
